Kelly E. Moore, Phd

Kelly E. Moore, PhD is a licensed clinical psychologist and Associate Professor in the Psychology Department at East Tennessee State University (ETSU). She received her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from George Mason University in 2016 and completed a NIDA postdoctoral fellowship in substance use prevention research at Yale School of Medicine before beginning her position at ETSU in 2018. Dr. Moore oversees the Crime Addiction Re-Entry (CARE) lab at ETSU and mentors graduate and undergraduate students in clinical research with justice-involved populations.

Dr. Moore’s research aims to reduce the stigma tied to substance use and criminal involvement, and improve evidence-based behavioral health treatment during and after incarceration. Her work has been funded by the National Institute on Drug Abuse, the American Psychological Foundation, ETSU, the Tennessee Department of Health, and the Tennessee Opioid Abatement Council.
